If you enjoy unique film experiences and are interested in the cinematic exploration of unconventional sexuality, join us monthly for the Ministry of Freedom’s regular movie screening program!

This event goes beyond the typical movie experience.

Bring out your kinky side, and if you feel like it, your submissive can kneel on a leash beside you while watching the film!

The Handmaiden

With an IMDb score above 8, this erotic thriller might just be one of the greatest kinky films of all time. Beyond its exploration of BDSM, it delves into other facets of sexuality that were once considered taboo. Of course, such popularity required more than just bold themes—it also needed a plot rich in twists and tension, brought to life by none other than Park Chan-wook, the acclaimed director behind Oldboy. Adding to its allure is the film's unique visual style and its setting within the little-known cultural backdrop of Korea under Japanese occupation a century ago. This cinematic gem spans genres from dark romance to psychological thriller, with “unconventional sexuality” playing a pivotal role throughout.  

The film will be shown in Hungarian, with English subtitles, if needed.

Break

Since the film runs for 2 hours and 25 minutes, we’ll include a 30-minute intermission. During this break, you’ll have the chance to visit the restroom, step outside for a smoke, stretch your legs, or refill your drinks. 

The schedule:

18:00–19:00: Arrival
19:20: Once everyone has their drinks from the bar, we’ll start the film
19:20–20:50: First half of the film
20:50–21:20: Break
21:20–22:20: Second half of the film
22:20: Discussion of the film, followed by free-form conversation, and some social stuff, like drinking, talking, playing, etc., until closing
01:00: Closing time

A dress-code-free event!

This is rare among our club programs, so we encourage everyone to join us and immerse themselves in the kinky world at their own pace, as well as to get to know the Ministry of Freedom community.

There’s one important rule to note: entrance is only permitted between 6:00-7:00 p.m., and we will close the doors at 7 p.m. sharp to ensure an uninterrupted viewing experience. No late entries will be allowed!
   

Snacks Available!

Like in a real movie theater, we’ll have popcorn, nachos, and cola so you can enjoy the full experience!

However, seating is more limited than in our typical events, so make sure to grab your tickets early!
