What munch is?

The term 'munch' is used in BDSM and fetish communities to refer to an informal gathering where people come together to casually chat and get to know others in the community, without necessarily engaging in BDSM or other fetish activities.

Our goal is to create a safe and friendly environment for those who are new to the community or who want to have conversations, share their experiences, and form new friendships.

These gatherings are characterized by free conversations, and there is usually no dresscode. 

Why is it educational?

We strive to share information, experiences, and advice with members of the BDSM and fetish community in a friendly and informal environment.

For example:

1. Sharing experiences:Participants can share their personal experiences, which can help newcomers navigate the world of BDSM, learn about safety practices, how to use various tools, or establish boundaries.

2. Expert presentations:Invited experts or more experienced community members may give short presentations or discussions on various topics.

3. Q&A:Participants can openly ask their questions, which will be answered by more experienced individuals. This helps gain a deeper understanding of the topic.

Andrea Gyimesi, as a sex psychologist, has thoroughly reviewed the latest academic literature on BDSM. In her lecture, she presents how earlier approaches based on sadomasochism were rooted in false assumptions, while modern research offers a much more nuanced and positive perspective on the BDSM community.

About the Speaker:

Andrea Gyimesi is a sex psychologist and couples therapist with over a decade of professional experience. She has played a leading role in developing Hungary’s sex psychology training program and contributed as an expert to the interview book Insight into the World of BDSM. In addition to her research and consultancy work, she serves as a board member of the Conscious Sex Foundation.
